No accounts

You do not need an account to use HandyChords. Settings such as left-handed diagrams or your metronome tempo are stored only in your own browser through local storage. We cannot see them, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Microphone

The tuners ask for microphone access only when you press start. The sound is analyzed inside your browser to find the pitch. It is never recorded, stored or sent to us or anyone else.

Analytics

We use analytics to count page views and see which features help players. These tools may set cookies or collect your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.

Advertising

The site is funded by ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
